Mosquito Larva

I am no microbiologist, but I love the microscope!

(Actually, I love almost all equipment with lenses because they help us see the world from a different perspective. And microscopes use lenses to show us things too small for our eyes.)

A large droplet of water. That's about as far as the eye can see.

Mosquito larva.

Posterior siphon tube. Used as a snorkel for breathing.

Anterior heart.

The naturalist and his 'lab assistant' brother. Melissa is the naturalist's student.

All photos taken on 26 October.
