Powers of World Domination

I was in the car the other day, thinking of the superpowers that have recently claimed virtual world domination, though I can't quite decide who rules 'em all. The competition seems to go down the wire to:

Microsoft:
Cyberspace is virtually theirs... for now.

Coca-Cola:
Statistics indicate that 97% of the world has heard of it, and 51% have tasted it.

McDonald's:
Step into one, and you probably won't know which country you're in, so says Dr Leong Tien Fock.

7-Eleven:
Rumour has it that the Sherpas have built one on the peak of Mount Everest.

What say you?

Actually, a lot of superpowers intent on global domination keep behind the scenes, eg.

General Electric

Wal-Mart (well, actually, they're higher-profile than most, but still, when your annual turnover is more than the GDP of most 3rd world countries..._

private equities (they own substantial stakes in a myriad of companies and pension funds and whatnot)

Unilever

;)
